Disc
- Pieces of cartllage that sit as a cushion between two bones
and protect the bones from rubbing directly against each other.
Dislocated
disc - A disc that has been moved out of its normal position
between bones.
Mandible
- The lower jaw bone.

treatment - Treatment that involves health practioners
from many fields. These fields could include medical evaluation,
physical therapy, chiropractics, nutrition and stress managment.

spasm - A "cramp" caused by overworked and overused muscles.

- Tempromandibular disorders. A new term for TMJ dysfuction
used by the dental community.

- Tempromandibular joint.
Temporomandibular
joint - The "jaw joint" at the side of the face in front
of the ear. There are two joints, one on either side of the
face. The joint is comprised of the lower jaw bone (mandible),
which fits into a cove in the temporal bone of the skull,
and a disc that seperates the two bones.
Temporomandibular
joint dysfunction - A condition caused by a dislocated
disc in the TM joint, usually causing muscle spasms.
